My husband and I contacted Ruth in late 2023 when we were exploring options for IVF treatment in Europe. Being from Australia, we were trying to get as much information as possible before deciding on our clinic for egg donation and timing was also a factor with me turning 42 early in 2024. In addition to this, I also had a complex gynecological history due to cancer.

From the get-go, over WhatsApp, Ruth impressed us with her questions and knowledge. We cancelled our other consults with larger outfits and arranged to start a cycle in February – a mere three months later at one of the recommended clinics in Greece.

We were able to converse with Ruth, despite the time differences, to ensure all our testing and medications were in order and she also assisted us with the timing of booking flights so that we would have sufficient time to meet the donor’s cycle needs and mine for a fresh transfer.

We had chosen a clinic with a four-embryo guarantee and received the news that we had achieved this on the singular cycle with all embryos of a high grade. Unfortunately, however, my fresh transfer had to be cancelled as I contracted Covid during the five-day wait.

At this time, Ruth’s expertise and communication were exceptional. She liaised with the clinic and ourselves, and we concocted a loose plan to get me ready as soon as possible for the next available dates for a frozen transfer.

I returned to Greece solo eight weeks later, after a very stressful lead-up where my body wasn’t playing ball. Again, Ruth was onto everything medication-wise and regarding our next steps. Luckily it all came together, and I was able to attend as planned.

In October 2024, our son was welcomed early into the world and, after an extensive NICU stay, he is now home with us.

However, none of this would have been possible at all had we not contacted Ruth in the first instance.
